NATALIA BRAGARNIK
Natalya Bragarnik is a Latin & Ballroom Dance Instructor with extensive experience of arts education programs in NYC public schools. She was born in Kazakhstan, Central Asia and took ballet classes since she was 6. At 9, she joined a dance ensemble and at 11 started doing Ballroom Dancing for the first time. Natalia was selected as a soloist of the ensemble which consisted of 12 pairs, as well as later chosen to represent her city in numerous dance competitions. In 1989 Natalia received her Bachelor’s in Choreography from the Arts and Culture Institute in Chimkent, Kazakhstan where she was later hired as a dance instructor. She toured abroad as a dancer with various dance troupes and later decided to move to the United States. In 1991 she started working at American Ballet Theater, as well as worked on Broadway and was a member of “Europa” dance group that performed regularly in USA. From 1999-2005 she joined the Kaizers Dance Academy as a Ballroom Dance Instructor and from 2008-2013 worked at the VKDance company, also as a Ballroom teacher. For the last 7 years, Natalia has worked as an arts educator in public schools and as a Ballroom dance consultant at Brighton Ballet Theater. In addition, Natalia prepares children for Ballroom dance competitions and various shows. Natalia is passionate about teaching Ballroom Dance and sharing the art of dance with her students.
